Eighth Annual Turkey Bowl Kicks Off In Support of Jason's Dreams For Kids
- Thanksgiving-Weekend Football Tourney Sets Sights on Eclipsing $100,000 Mark in Dollars Raised Since 2001
- Organizers Reach Out for More Support from Sponsors, Participants to Aid Efforts Towards Fulfilling Dreams of Kids with Life-Threatening Illness
 Monmouth County, NJ, - Marking its 9th Year as the can't miss event for the area's armchair athletes and Monday morning quarterbacks, the founders of Turkey Bowl football tournament, and charity Jason's Dreams for Kids, called upon the Monmouth County community and beyond to continue their generous support of an event that has surpassed $100,000 in total dollars raised and earmarked towards fulfilling the dreams of children diagnosed with life-threatening diseases.
The area's premier football tournament, the Turkey Bowl, will be held Nov. 29 at Thompson Middle School on Nut Swamp Road in Middletown.
The main event sponsor is International Planning Alliance, a Financial Services firm located in Red Bank. There are still sponsorship opportunities available for individuals, local businesses and organizations to benefit JDFK: Team Shirts, Field Names, and Concession stands to name a few.
Founded in 2000, The Turkey Bowl has raised upwards of $150,000 and has been a supporter of JDFK since 2001. JDFK is a local charity that works to fulfill wishes of terminally and chronically ill children primarily in Monmouth County and throughout the state of New Jersey.
Teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis with deadline for registration on November 3, 2008.
Jason's Dreams For Kids/Our Mission
Jason's Dreams For Kids is an organization, which was founded in 1992 in memory of Jason Douglas Creager, who passed away on January 18, 1002 after losing his battle with cancer.
Jason's Dreams For Kids, Inc. is devoted to granting wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Bringing a little happiness and putting a few smiles on these childrens' faces - and hopefully their parents' faces - is our goal! Jason's Dreams For Kids, Inc. holds a variety of fundraising events to meet the cost of fulfilling these childrens' wishes.
Almost every penny of your donation goes directly to the children and is tax-deductible to the extent of the law. How do we do that? We are also subsidized by McGinnis Printing, which covers incidental expenses such as printing, mailing and administrative costs. This allows almost every dollar of your donation to Jason's Dreams For Kids to be used for putting smiles on children's faces (Jason's gives back ratio is 90% and the families this charity helps are all New Jersey residents).
